This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The coffee was pretty good and the service was fine. However my biggest complaint about this place is that every piece of art from the menus to the murals on the wall is AI slop. Not only does it look bad but it's so lazy. Surely there's no shortage of Hispanic artists in Modesto. Personally, I won't be returning.

The atmosphere when you walk in is such a vibe! Floral wall, swing, plant wall, merch - it checks all the Insta-worthy boxes, and hey, it worked on me! It was quiet on a Friday morning of a long holiday weekend, but I imagine this place gets busy. There's ample indoor seating (no outdoor seating that I saw). Fun fact: while enjoying my coffee, I looked up what "Con Azucar" means "with sugar." I mean, I loooove it. Self-admitted sweet tooth over here. I was greeted the second I walked in, which was a nice surprise since that doesn't happen at a lot of coffee shops. The menu has everything - lattes, frappes, refreshers, hot and cold drinks, plus a bunch of pastries. Apparently they also have giant conchas?! How did I miss that? Next time, for sure. I went with a Large Shaken Brown Sugar Espresso (4 shots), ready in less than 5 minutes. It was yums & sweet, just like the girl at the register promised. Hot take: it tastes exactly how Starbucks' version did when it first came out (before it went downhill). Con Azucar's is definitely better. I'll absolutely be back, with all their seasonal drinks, I can't wait to try more!

Traditional pan dulce and other treats along with a variety of specialty drinks like horchata latte, Jarritos, chocolate abuelita and other standard lattes and cappuccino. Their refreshers are also very tasty like their jamaica water, pepino con lemon and mangonada! We have been several times and try to order different drinks each time and we have never been disappointed!! Recently tried the masala coffee and it was delicious!! Love it!! All the drinks are especially good if you get to have them in their ceramic cups! There are so many types of drinks anyone can find one to their liking! The coffee shop itself is spacious and its Mexican murals and art make it bright! There is a swing as you enter which is great for selfies! This is a great stop with friends or just to meet up!

what a beautiful establishment! I went in with my family for our first time and we were immediately greeted with a warm " welcome! " Right away you feel at home and comfortable in those velvet green chairs. The atmosphere is next level, unlike anything i've seen here locally. As we got to the register we looked over the menu and there was quite an array to choose from. We were a bit indecisive due to the number of amazing options, but the cashier was very patient with us and helpful with suggestions and reccomendations. We decided to try a few different things. My mother-in-law ordered their pumkin spice latte, which when we recieved it were blown away by the beautiful image printed on top made with their latte printer ( how cool is that?! ) the images can be customized as well. I ordered the brown sugar shaken espresso and it did not disappoint. The pastry case was full of a great assortment and variety of sweet and savory bread. We got the concha sandwhich to share and what a tasty treat it was! I will most definitely be recommending this place and you can count on me returning!

This place has so much hype and since it's new in modesto why not try it right? Well I took my mom a few days after they're grand opening but service was super disappointing. The young gentleman was kind but his face was just showing so much confusion to say the least. My mom ordered the cafe de olla and I ordered the brown sugar shaken espresso and for my shaken espresso I waited a good 15 minutes and I had to go up to the kid and ask about it. My mom's coffee was good but a little too sweet for her. During the 15 minutes of waiting for my coffee I decided to order a grilled cheese for my son. I had seen that the lady making the sandwiches took off somewhere and then was going over some doordash orders with another young lady and my order on the screen was just there blinking. Finally after a few orders in she walks back to that area and starts making the sandwiches but makes one that was way after me. I was a little upset that the service was lacking and they should've had better training prior to opening because some people don't have all the time in the world to wait for food, especially since it's located around the courthouse area so some employees from around will only have
